Well here is an official blog for Miss Maddie! We'll try to keep it updated every so often, but here's a fabulously random photo montage of Madelyn's first six weeks of life. :) Happy 6 weeks my sweet girl!!!

Nana was in the waiting room with Grammie and Gramps and was able to hold Maddie really soon after her arrival!!!

It was such a blessing to have Grammie and Gramps at the hospital with us, with the Dashiell clan popping in and out between work and home!

Car ride home! The straps kept trying to fall off her shoulders and made her mommy very nervous.

That 1/4 Japanese ninja strikes again...hand out of swaddle!!!! Mostly she loves loves loves her swaddle and gets calm as soon as she's in it, but as her nervous system is still underdeveloped and her arms randomly move around, sometimes she wiggles out!!!

Delicious thumb. :) She doesn't ever manage to keep it in her mouth for very long when she actually gets it in there, but she seems happy for the few minutes it hangs out in her mouth.

This girl has some gorgeous eyes!!! Hoping they'll stay this color. :) Pretty sure there's some serious sky gazing going on here...little miss looooves her sky and enjoys taking an hour or so out of each morning to gaze at it in wonder, while Mommy does the same thing with her.

Maddie's other favorite thing to gaze at is her green ladybug lamp that's mounted over her changing table. This thing can end a bad mood and make a girl super happy!! Thanks for putting it up for us, Grandpa!!!!

Big day out, we went to the Arboretum on free entrance day!!! Maddie loved the waterfalls of course, the shushing sound even beat out the sheep!!! It was a lovely day and very exciting as we managed to feed a girl outside of our house for the first time!!!
We love Grammie and Gramps!!!!! They came back down to visit us last week when Madelyn was 5 weeks old and babysat so Mommy and Daddy could have a date!!! Mommy got halfway through the movie before she had to keep forcing herself to stop thinking about Maddie. :)

Aunt Kathy came to visit us when Madelyn was 4 weeks old!!! We all had a great time and Madelyn discovered that her thumb was delicious.
Tiny bear outfit!!!! Cousin Amber and Cousin Reanne picked this one out and it has been very popular with all of Maddie's fans. :)
